As a DevSecOps Manager in Owego, NY, you will lead a multi-discipline team in tackling complex engineering challenges. Your role involves overseeing the technical, cost, and schedule execution of multiple software development activities across various programs. You will manage the full engineering development life cycle, from initial design through implementation, ensuring adherence to standards and processes. Your leadership will advance the craft of engineering, introduce modern tools and techniques, and foster career development for your team members.

The successful candidate will assume a Multi-Disciplined DevSecOps Engineering First Level Management (FLM) position reporting to the Functional Manager of Mission Systems Products and Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of development.
  • Oversee personnel management tasks such as performance assessments, career development, and staffing.
  • Address staffing requests and handle contract-related issues.
  • Execute recovery plans and participate in key milestone events.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 10% required.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Qualifications

  • STEM or similar background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with leading development teams.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering assignments and successful results in leading and executing engineering-intensive programs.
  • Solid foundational understanding of Agile, DevSecOps, and Digital Transformation (Dx).
  • Strong and proven understanding of engineering development processes.

Desired Skills

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across organizations to achieve results.
  • Experience leading large development programs.
  • Experience in Product Line development, management, and oversight.
  • Understanding of all phases of the engineering development process.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to mentor and influence engineers of all levels.
  • Experience presenting to customers and all levels of internal and external higher management.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed business decisions.
  • Experience with transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Agile coaching experience and/or Agile certifications (e.g., Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.).
  • New business capture and/or proposal experience.
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) certified.
  • Demonstrated and recognized for Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors and skills.
  • Strategic, forward-thinking with a can-do attitude.
  • High desire to provide customer satisfaction.

Schedule

  • 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
  • Part-time remote telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $118,700 - $209,300. For most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York, the range is $136,500 - $236,555. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This position is incentive plan eligible.
