DevOps Platform Engineer

Job Title DevOps Engineer / Platform Engineer Job Purpose The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and managing the organization's application delivery platforms and infrastructure components. The role focuses on CI/CD pipeline management, container orchestration platforms, infrastructure automation, platform reliability, security integration, and operational excellence. The individual will work closely with development, infrastructure, security, andcloudteams to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable application deployment and operations. Key Responsibilities CI/CD DevOps Management Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment processes. Manage and administer DevOps platforms, repositories, build agents, and runners. Automate application deployment, testing, and release processes. Implement DevSecOps practices within CI/CD workflows. Troubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment issues. Optimize build and deployment performance. Container Kubernetes Platform Administration Deploy, manage, and maintain containerized application platforms. Administer Kubernetes environments including: Rancher Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) Configure namespaces, ingress controllers, storage classes, RBAC, and cluster security. Monitor cluster health, capacity, and performance. Manage container image repositories and lifecycle. Docker Administration Build, secure, and manage Docker container environments. Define and maintain approved base images. Implement container security best practices. Support application teams in containerization initiatives. Linux Infrastructure Administration Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. Perform system hardening, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Manage operating system performance and availability. Maintain platform documentation and configuration standards. Middleware Platform Services Administer And Support HAProxy Nexus Repository Manager Keycloak Identity and Access Management Access Manager solutions HashiCorp Vault Responsibilities Include Installation and configuration Security hardening High availability implementation Certificate management Backup and recovery Performance tuning Security Secrets Management Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms. Manage secrets, certificates, tokens, and credentials using HashiCorp Vault. Integrate security controls within CI/CD pipelines. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards. Coordinate vulnerability remediation activities. Logging, Monitoring Observability Implement and manage centralized logging platforms such as: ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) Graylog Create dashboards, alerts, and monitoring solutions. Perform log analysis and troubleshooting. Support incident investigation and root cause analysis. CloudPlatform Support Support deployment and operations oncloudplatforms: Configurecloud-native services supporting DevOps operations. Assist incloudinfrastructure automation and optimization. Support hybridcloudand container-based deployments. Automation Infrastructure as Code Automate infrastructure provisioning and platform configuration. Develop scripts and reusable automation components. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using approved tools. Improve operational efficiency through automation. Platform Reliability Operations Ensure high availability and resilience of platform services. Participate in incident management and problem management activities. Maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures. Create and maintain operational runbooks and SOPs. Experience Up to 3 years ( 2 candidates) , 3-5 years ( 1 Candidate) of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering. Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines. Experience administering Kubernetes platforms in enterprise environments. Experience supporting containerized applications and platform services. Experience with Linux system administration and middleware platforms.
