DevOps, Integration Specialist for Electronic Trading - Senior Lead Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a framework for continuous integration environments, driving its adoption and evolution.
• Automate testing processes and any manual workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Integrate with various trading front office, middle office and back office systems.
• Manage release processes, provide environment support, and offer production support as needed.
• Conduct client, venue certification, and connectivity for various exchanges, markets, and dark pools.
• Test and validate individual applications and end-to-end integration.
• Works very closely with stakeholders and clients to update, configure, and change trading applications and downstream peripherals.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages - Unix scripting, Python, and Java programming languages for automation, monitoring, and surveillance.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
• Scripting skills to automate day-to-day development and testing and integration tasks (Shell/Perl/Python).
• Creating and automating test strategies/test plans based on functional requirements and executing them.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
• Prioritization of work and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Electronic trading exposure with knowledge in trading protocols such as FIX.
• Knowledge of equities trading stack – order management systems, ALGO, smart order routers, dark pools, equities exchange protocols.
• Knowledge of kdb/q.
