Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and other engineers to integrate DevOps best practices and automation for improved program performance and reduced risk.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code to control all aspects of software environments and version-controlled releases.
- Containerize Java and Python code, optimizing for deployment in a Kubernetes environment to ensure high availability and parallel processing.
- Leverage AWS best practices to reduce compute costs while incorporating autoscaling and scheduling resources based on program demand.
- Work closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle to design software with the production environment in mind.
- Automate and version control deployments, ensuring a controlled process that enables zero downtime.
- Incorporate security scanning and other best practices to ensure new deployments comply with industry standards.
- Partner with the ISSE to implement security tools within the build pipeline.
- Document work in alignment with Agile Development practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4-7 years demonstrated experience with:
- Active TS/SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required.
- Kubernetes and Helm Charts
- Docker and/or Podman Containerization best practices
- AWS Services (EKS, Lambdas, EMR, ECR, VPC, etc.)
- Terraform
- CI/CD Pipeline Automation (Git, Jenkins, Automated Testing, etc.)
