DevOps Engineer - Senior

Hybrid schedule: in-office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote Tuesdays and Fridays. Candidate will work remotely until an on-site seat becomes available in Westlake, TX (preferred), Phoenix, AZ, Richfield, OH, or Lone Tree, CO.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise-level administration and support
• Write automation scripts and build application dashboards for proactive monitoring
• Set up alerts for early issue detection using tools such as Grafana, Influx, Datadog, Moog, and ThousandEyes
• Practice and improve Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Perform hands-on enterprise systems administration, monitoring, and deployment activities
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 hosted via Virtual Machines
• Manage IP networking including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and IP routing
• Work with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures
• Administer, troubleshoot, and tune Linux and Windows systems
• Develop using languages such as .Net, C#, PowerShell, YAML, Java, Python, or Bash
• Work with databases including SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or Postgres

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience with enterprise-level administration and support
• 6–8 years of experience writing automation scripts and building application dashboards for proactive monitoring
• 6–8 years of experience practicing SDLC and process improvements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 hosted via Virtual Machines
• Knowledge of IP networking including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and IP routing
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures
• Linux and Windows system administration, troubleshooting, and tuning
• Development experience in one or more programming languages such as .Net, C#, PowerShell, YAML, Java, Python, or Bash
• Knowledge of one or more databases: SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or Postgres

Pay

$68.87 – $71.87 per hour

Schedule

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, contract basis
