DevOps Engineer, Mid

As a DevOps engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a DevOps infrastructure engineer to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.

About the role

As a DevOps infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You’ll sharpen your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions. With access to our internal innovative labs, you’ll have opportunities to explore different ways of solving our clients’ challenges. Whether helping to develop, deploy, or manage IT infrastructures for crucial server and network components, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
• Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
• Provision computer networking and storage, and set up servers, including virtual machines (VMs) or networks

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps tool and process development
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving CI/CD pipeline issues
• Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
• Knowledge of provisioning computer networking, storage, and virtual machines or networks
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Work model expectations:

• Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
