DevOps Engineer, Mid
About the role
Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- Develop, manage, and secure containers
- Support application development teams across the software development lifecycle and create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
- Inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process
- Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers
- Continue to strengthen DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms
Requirements
- Experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes or Docker
- Experience developing, managing, and securing containers
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
- T/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- High school diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Experience operating within an Agile environment
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools
- Experience developing and maintaining CSP tools such as AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle
- Experience in acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
- Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
- Master’s degree
Skills
- Experience with cloud-native technologies
- Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with DevSecOps practices
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role.
Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
