DevOps Engineer III
Job Duties
- Buils and maintains the tooling and infrastructure used to automate the release and deployment
- Adapts existing procedures to reduce the occurrence of errors
- Deploys updates and bug fixes while providing technical IT support independently
- Develops and codes software that will integrate with back-end systems while mentoring junior engineers
- Uses professional expertise to design processes for system troubleshooting and maintenance using Agile software development methods
- Creates security & architectural diagrams, design specifications, and support documentation
- Collaborates with Infrastructure and Security peers to establish and assign specific tasks required to meet project expectations
- Works with Product Owners and Architects to identify infrastructure and security related activities
Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
Education & Experience
- Experience with tools such as ADO, Git, GHAS, SonarQube, LaunchDarkly, JFrog, GCP/GKE, ISPW PowerBI
- Developed technical knowledge and aptitude
- Experience with DevOps principles
- Ability to use Agile software development methodologies
- Experience application security (OWASP Top 10), and DevSecOps
- Experience with continuous code deployment, test-driven development, and release management
- Experience with the overall software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of cloud-based application integrations and software as a service implementation
- Knowledge/experience working in a mainframe environment (experience with IBM z/OS a plus)
- Extensive experience with appropriate programming languages e.g. Java, Javascript, React and troubleshooting a wide range of IT issues, including unusual incidents
- Experience with AI tools such as Claude, Codex, Gemini
