About The Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer II to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our high-scale infrastructure, which includes Kubernetes clusters, cloud-native AWS services, and on-premises VM workloads. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the reliability, scalability, and automation of our extensive service portfolio. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure optimal system performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineering role
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment
- Proficiency with CI/CD workflow automation tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar
- Solid experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch
- Comfort working within Linux/VM-based infrastructure environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or equivalent
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Familiarity with Nexus Sonatype or similar artifact repository management systems
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and/or Node.js
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities, incident triage, troubleshooting, and resolution
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines built on Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including managing self-hosted GitHub Runners
- Embed with dedicated engineering teams to understand their systems, priorities, and pain points, delivering targeted infrastructure and automation improvements
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across Amazon EKS and NKP (Nutanix Kubernetes Platform) on VM environments
- Develop and maintain shared libraries and reusable components, such as GitHub Actions workflows and Terraform modules, to promote consistency and accelerate delivery
- Manage and maintain Nexus Sonatype artifact repositories on VM environments
- Collaborate on AWS infrastructure management, including networking, IAM, storage, and compute resources
- Contribute to observability initiatives by implementing and maintaining logging, metrics, and tracing tools across high-volume systems
- Participate in on-call rotations, owning incident response and resolution with appropriate urgency
- Document systems, runbooks, and processes to institutionalize knowledge and reduce tribal knowledge
