DevOps Engineer
About the role
Vantor is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the development and integration of intelligence capabilities into test and operational environments. This role supports PUMA, the U.S. Intelligence Community’s Program of Record missile warning system.
Responsibilities
- Aid in deploying and maintaining Kubernetes environments (EKS, RKE).
- Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software integration and deployment.
- Integrate security and static code analysis tools into DevOps pipelines.
- Sustain deployments in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with software and systems engineers to automate testing and documentation workflows.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and pipeline issues.
- Support configuration management and release processes for deployed systems.
- Maintain monitoring of deployed applications and infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
Requirements
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- 3+ years of relevant DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience.
- Experience with Git or other source control tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, and Ansible).
- Experience working with Linux systems (RedHat or Amazon Linux preferred).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Skills
- Security+ or similar IAT level 2 certification.
- Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes application packaging.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Exposure to static analysis tools such as Fortify or SonarQube.
- Experience supporting applications in production environments.
- Knowledge of web services and SQL databases.
Pay
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Washington: $92,000.00 - $195,000.00 annually.
