Key Responsibilities
- Sets up and maintains DevOps methodologies within an Agile software development environment.
- Maintains best practices in cloud engineering.
- Collaborates with other engineers to support and develop application environments, including improving CI/CD pipelines and deploying cloud resources.
- Supports the entire Software Development Lifecycle with an emphasis on build, test, and release management via automation.
- Analyzes AWS cloud environments for technical and process improvements.
- Maintains cloud infrastructure, deploys updates and fixes, investigates, and resolves technical and network issues, and provides technical support to developers and end-users.
- Participates in architecture and software development activities.
- Translates loosely defined requirements into solutions using coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve problems with custom workflows.
Qualifications
- Ability to work on-site at a state-of-the-art building in North Bethesda, MD office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent).
- 2-4 years of professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering role.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- 1-2 years of experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Experience with at least one configuration management tool (Puppet, Chef, or Ansible).
- 1+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, ECS, and/or EKS).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodeBuild.
- Solid working knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
