What You'll Do
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines across Snowflake, Kafka, and related platforms
- Manage Snowflake environments including warehouses, databases, roles, and resource optimization
- Operate and tune Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, and consumer groups
- Build automation for deployment, monitoring, and recovery of data workflows
- Develop scripts and tools (Python, SQL, Bash) to streamline operations
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure
- Partner with data engineers and analytics teams to ensure timely, accurate data delivery
- Support data governance, security, and compliance initiatives
What You Bring
- 5+ years in data operations, data engineering, or a similar technical role
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (query optimization, warehouse tuning, RBAC, data sharing)
- Strong experience with Kafka (producers/consumers, schema registry, monitoring, troubleshooting)
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt
- A solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT concepts, and data lifecycle management
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Snowflake Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe
- Knowledge of Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or Confluent Platform
- Exposure to observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
- Experience in DevOps or SRE practices applied to data systems
