DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and utilizes cloud capabilities. Your responsibilities include developing enterprise cloud-native solutions, supporting strategy and design, and recommending resources for client environment improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support code deployments to a cloud environment
• Develop enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure
• Work with your team to inform strategy and design
• Ensure standards are met throughout the containerization process
• Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers
• Gain DevOps skills and experience while supporting critical cloud platform development

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting code deployments to a cloud environment
• Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions
• Experience working with Windows OS or Linux
• Knowledge of developing, managing, and securing containers
• Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within the first 30 days of start date

Skills

• Experience working with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kubernetes (ELK) stacks
• Knowledge of creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
• Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux Shell Script

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Employees may work remotely, at a Booz Allen facility, or at a customer facility, depending on the position type.
