The opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your platform engineering expertise in a high impact role? Booz Allen has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join the team, where you will help operate a secure, reliable, and highly available cloud, managed hosting, and developer platform. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, translating business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions. You’ll work with a security and compliance team and platform engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation for a platform-as-a-service
  • Work with security, compliance, and platform engineering teams
  • Translate business and development requirements into automated platform solutions
  • Utilize expertise in AWS cloud, cloud and network security, containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Communicate effectively, work independently while leading others, and collaborate across development teams in a fast-paced, agile environment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps for containerized and Kubernetes production systems
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud and network security architecture
  • Experience with the DoD
  • Experience with hardened AMIs and Container Images
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date

Qualifications

  • Experience with vulnerability management, dynamic or static code analysis, and promoting solutions into higher classification environments
  • Experience working with or developing Special Access Programs (SAP) mission workloads
  • Experience working with FENCES and Keycloak
  • Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh
  • Experience with multiple cloud service providers (CSP)
  • Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server operating systems
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or Level III Certification

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
