DevOps Engineer

About the role

The opportunity is for a DevOps engineer to support DoD or government agencies in modernizing their IT infrastructures. You'll work with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support server configuration for modern cloud solutions
• Develop and implement scalable, efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
• Manage virtual machines and networks
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to troubleshoot, triage, and resolve automation issues
• Use cloud service providers to support clients' missions

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience supporting DoD or government agencies
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving automation issues
• 3+ years of experience developing tools and processes to automate CI/CD builds, regression testing, monitoring, and release pipelines
• Experience in automation, including Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with operating systems such as RHEL and Windows
• Experience with virtualization, including VMware

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• Master’s degree in a STEM field

Skills

• Experience with application containerization
• Experience modeling network configurations in JSON or YAML
• Experience with network automation using Python or Ansible

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
