DevOps Engineer

About the role

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a DevOps Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer.

Responsibilities

• Configures CI/CD for multiple web applications.
• Takes source code, dependencies to perform application builds.
• Performs automated testing and security scans.
• Deploys to multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Operations).
• Creates and maintains pipelines to multiple environments across multiple security enclaves (low to high development).
• Responsible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Authors helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShift platforms.
• Manages and documents system security, by performing software updates in response to scan findings, document system, architecture to demonstrate security compliance.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technology.
• 5-8+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to manage networking for web applications by understanding PCP/IP and DNS.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, with ideal knowledge of AWS.
• Experience creating and modifying Helm charts and configuring deployments to multi-environments (e.g., dev, stage, prod) across multiple security domains.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloud formation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
• Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines (knowledge of Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar will be considered).
• Knowledge of containerization, monitoring & logging, and network & security.
• Experience deploying and managing databases, interacting with databases via SQL and ORMs.
• Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases.

Skills

• Experience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applications.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment.
• Experience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques.
• Technical certification: Network +, Security +, Oracle or specializing in Software Development, or Cloud Computing.
• Experience in System Engineering and project/program management.
• Knowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products (including NGA CORE tools; ie Wormhole).
