Our program seeks innovative engineers to support a critical application centered in the analytic mission and modernize the legacy system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system.
- Develop Infrastructure As Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Patch, harden, and maintain compliance of RHEL systems.
- Install, configure, and provide performance tuning for Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Nifi, and cloud-native logging and metrics collection tools.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code using GitLab runners and Argo CD.
- Manage commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
- Design, develop, document, test, and maintain full-spectrum cyber solutions.
- Develop and automate secure systems to support cyber offensive, defense, and full-spectrum cyber operations.
- Conduct vulnerability research, reverse engineering, penetration testing (red/blue teams), and develop low-level firmware or specialized cyber software solutions based on mission requirements.
- Apply system knowledge (hardware, software, networks, cloud) to evaluate potential vulnerabilities and develop new capabilities to exploit or mitigate them.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
- An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
Desired Skills
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambdas, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions using Terraform.
- Understanding of AWS networking principles, including VPCs, NATs, and IP Gateway.
- Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.
- Kubernetes experience with a focus on EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.

Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $166,900.00 - $309,900.00. The salary range is a general guideline and considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market/work location when extending an offer.
Schedule
- For non-represented full-time employees (Washington state applicants only): Accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
- For represented full-time employees: Accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
- PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
