About the role
This position provides clinical, educational, research and administrative support for the implantable device program. The role includes coordinating device interrogations, educating staff, and participating in research studies.
Responsibilities
- Independently interrogate patient devices scheduled within the device program.
- Reprogram devices under the supervision/direction of Physician/NP/PA.
- Input and update patient and device information for new implants and current information.
- Maintain several databases related to implantable devices.
- Educate fellows, NP/PAs, and other staff on the utility of implantable devices, the intricacies of the interrogated device data, and their role in arrhythmia patient management.
- Participate in ongoing research studies.
- Provide clinical support during device interrogations and reprogramming.
- Coordinate the interrogation of implantable devices, including data acquisition both onsite and remotely.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- One (1) year experience in cardiology, preferably in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Minimum of one (1) current/valid certification from the following list: RN, LPN, RMA, CMA, ACSM CEP, IBHRE, CRAT.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with remote device transmission (e.g., Carelink, Latitude, Merlin).
- Proven ability and verifiable experience with cardiac devices.
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- One (1) year experience in cardiology, either in a clinic or hospital setting.
- Minimum of one (1) current/valid certification from the following list: RN, LPN, RMA, CMA, ACSM CEP, IBHRE, CRAT.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience with remote device transmission (e.g., Carelink, Latitude, Merlin).

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $24.30 - $37.52. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
