Device Nurse, Electrophysiology

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias
• Mastery of technical skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices
• Troubleshoot Device Interrogation with collaboration with Electrophysiologists
• Mastering knowledge of various manufacturers devices and models
• Face to face and telephone assessment of patients
• Completes programming orders according to established protocols
• Performs interrogation, evaluation and reprogramming of all manufacturers’ models of cardiac rhythm device management
• Provides patient education
• Manages documentation in Care Connect and Paceart
• Performs interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming of all manufacturers models of cardiac rhythm management devices
• Reviews remote, trans-telephonic, and in-office evaluations and completes documentation according to protocols
• Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation in EMR and Paceart
• Adheres to billing guidelines and practices
• Promotes positive staff and interoffice relations

Qualifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
• 5 years of cardiology and rhythm recognition experience
• Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices
• Electrophysiology experience
• Cardiac Certification and/or Electrophysiology Lab Implant Certification (preferred)
