DEVELOPMENTAL SPECIALIST, RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Responsible Functions

• Implementation of resident programming
• Serving as staff leader during assigned shifts
• Participation in Program Development and ILS skills assessment
• Counting statistics and completing documentation for 45 and 90 day reviews
• Updating the CFA for each individual and conducting annual updates
• Coordinating the annual CFA for each individual and ensuring its accuracy
• Developing and managing the Service Plan for each individual in collaboration with the site PA
• Purging files to maintain current Program Plans
• Communicating with Day Programs as needed
• Conducting observations at the Day Program site and ICF as assigned
• Using Client Track for individual information and Plan of Care
• Assuming leadership responsibilities in absence of the Team Leader
• Training staff on program areas as needed
• Attending agency mandated in-service training sessions, including SCIP-R training
• Complying with all ICF/DD and agency policies and procedures
• Ensuring residents' health, safety, and welfare
• Administering medication and completing health-related forms
• Attending staff meetings as scheduled
• Completing required training in a timely manner
• Performing CPR and Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience
• Valid Drivers License meeting agency policy
• Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals manually and mechanically
• Basic computer skills for communication and documentation
• CPR certification required
