Developmental Specialist
Responsibilities
Support individuals in achieving their personal goals through daily activities, group sessions, and community outings.
Encourage participation in skill development areas such as communication, socialization, recreation, and vocational readiness.
Promote independence and self-advocacy in a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment.
Assist with personal care needs when necessary (meals, hygiene, mobility).
Collaborate with program staff, therapists, and families to ensure meaningful and individualized support.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid and current U.S. driver’s license (1+ year of licensed driving experience).
Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and adaptability.
Experience supporting individuals with special needs (preferred but not required).
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Qualifications
Competitive Pay: $22/hr ($23/hr with MAP certification).
