Developmental Pediatrics Advanced Practice Nurse

About the Role

Provide direct patient care within the limits prescribed by training and in consultation with a supervising physician. Assist with evaluating and managing follow-up patients, maintaining a panel of continuity care patients, and supporting patient flow as requested by the attending physician.

Assist with procedures if triage nurses are unavailable, including urinary catheterization, venipuncture, and other nursing tasks. Work collaboratively with the PA Team to care for patients needing consults and ongoing monitoring, and assist with patient follow-up.

Review routine laboratory reports for abnormalities, notify responsible clinicians based on urgency, and contact families for further evaluation or treatment when necessary. Document all aspects of patient care promptly and in accordance with practice guidelines within 24 hours.

Assist with planning, developing, and implementing patient education activities tailored to various age groups (neonates, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics). Demonstrate competency in providing care to specific age-related populations.

• Document patient care promptly and thoroughly
• Assist with patient education activities across all age groups
• Complete routine paperwork, medication refills, and patient information sharing
• Complete school, daycare, and Supplemental Social Security Income forms
• Maintain CPR certification and attend mandatory in-service updates
• Participate in continuing education for certification and licensure maintenance

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey
• Current Advanced Practice Nursing licensure in the State of New Jersey
• Current CDS and DEA certification
• Master's degree in nursing
• Two years' experience in specialty strongly preferred
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of New Jersey within area of specialty
• BLS, PALS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification (American Heart Association approved)

Pay

Salary Range: $128,502.00 - $205,608.00 USD. Competitive base rates determined by job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. Some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The listed range reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
