About the role

The Mayo Clinic Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Program seeks to hire a board-certified/board-eligible Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician with fellowship training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. The ideal candidate must hold a Minnesota license (or be able to obtain one prior to start).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in both independent and multi-disciplinary evaluations to formulate diagnostic impressions and provide comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat children with complex developmental and behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborate with a multi-specialty team including Neuropsychology, Child Psychiatry, General Pediatrics, Genetics, Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sleep Medicine, Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Audiology.
  • Work closely with Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics nurses and social workers.
  • Teach General Pediatrics residents, Child Psychiatry fellows, Mayo Clinic medical students, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Engage in clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory-based research.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics.
  • Fellowship training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics required.
  • Mn license (or ability to obtain one prior to start).

Qualifications

  • A strong interest in academic practice.
  • Experience and interest in working with children with autism and associated neurodevelopmental delays preferred.

  • Excellent teaching skills.
  • Strong research background.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Pay

Exempt compensation detail: The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $222,000 to $708,168. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
