About the role
We are seeking a mission-driven Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our growing Medical Services team. This role can be part time or full time, as we are open to both models.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical care through comprehensive developmental and behavioral assessments and follow-up visits for patients with existing autism diagnoses.
- Collaborate closely with Soar’s clinical teams (BCBA, SLP, OT, psychology) to support and implement integrated care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient visits, working alongside BCBAs, parents/caregivers, and other clinicians to address patient needs holistically.
- Offer expert guidance on behavioral challenges, sleep, feeding, toileting, co-occurring conditions, and medication management when clinically appropriate.
- Engage in interdisciplinary case discussions and provide consultative support to Soar clinicians.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives as Soar expands its medical services program, helping to shape innovative, evidence-based models of autism care.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics
- Graduate degree as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and completed fellowship in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics
- Active medical license in Colorado and Arizona (or ability to obtain)
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain medical licensure in additional states as Soar expands
- Preferred: IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) eligibility for streamlined licensing
- Demonstrated experience working with children with autism and their families
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
