Development Technologist - Auto Chem Lab
Responsibilities
- Developing, evaluating, and implementing new test/equipment, methodologies, or products for the laboratory.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of data generated and work performed.
- Organizing new method validation data, preparing data for publication and peer review, and participating in formal presentations within the institution.
- Aiding in the investigation, installation, evaluation, and purchase of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, reagent systems, and other specialty items.
- Participating in the training of laboratory staff, residents, and students in principles of methods and application within the laboratory as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation and attention to detail.
- Ability to reproduce a reference method using available procedures without supervision.
- Demonstrated analytical and scientific competency with development and/or validation of lab techniques or procedures.
- Proficiency in software for word processing, database management, statistical analysis, and presentations (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Maintains a record of scientific presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
Requirements
- Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty, and prevailing regulatory requirements.

$33.39 - $50.13/hour
