About the role
The Child Developmental Specialist develops and facilitates activities to promote the overall development of children with disabilities and their families, using a family-centered approach in natural environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and create evaluation reports
- Provide home-based instruction and case management
- Support family involvement and advocacy
- Organize playgroups
- Maintain accurate records
- Manage the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Ensure compliance with policies and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, special education, psychology, social work, or related field
- Minimum one year of experience with children aged birth to 3 years and with children with disabilities
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid Nevada driver’s license
- Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work independently
- Possession or pursuit of Early Childhood Special Education endorsement or similar certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor conditions with travel within the service area
