About the role

The Child Developmental Specialist develops and facilitates activities to promote the overall development of children with disabilities and their families, using a family-centered approach in natural environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and create evaluation reports
  • Provide home-based instruction and case management
  • Support family involvement and advocacy
  • Organize playgroups
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Manage the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Ensure compliance with policies and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, special education, psychology, social work, or related field
  • Minimum one year of experience with children aged birth to 3 years and with children with disabilities
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license
  • Excellent communication, organization, and ability to work independently
  • Possession or pursuit of Early Childhood Special Education endorsement or similar certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor conditions with travel within the service area
