About the role
Joining our U.S.-based team means contributing to and learning about the commercialization of some of the most exciting technologies the world has ever seen. We are turning "science fiction" into everyday reality through technologies such as superconducting, 3D integrated circuits or computer chips, carbon nanotubes, photonic logic devices, micro electro-mechanical systems and other emerging device topologies.
Responsibilities
- Technical R&D leader/expert to develop, integrate and re-optimize robust manufacturable processes to meet customer specifications for Diffusion and LPCVD applications.
- Perform experiments and data analysis to qualify process changes and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Provide technical leadership to mentor the Diffusion team.
- Qualify and document processes for newly acquired equipment.
- Collaborate with other functions to solve complex problems and make appropriate engineering-based decisions in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Drive continuous improvement of process capability and controls.
- Balance competing priorities to serve the needs of the company.
Requirements
- BS or MS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Materials Science, Physics or other relevant engineering discipline is required.
- 8+ years’ experience with BS, 5-8 years of experience with MS, 3+ years of experience with PhD of education in the semiconductor industry.
- 5+ years of experience with LPCVD and Diffusion processes or equivalent.
- Expert in gate stack development utilizing wet/dry gate oxides, gate nitridation, polysilicon/amorphous silicon techniques.
- Experienced with material characterization techniques, such as ellipsometry and dielectric characterization tools or similar techniques such as SIMS.
- Knowledge of DOE, SPC, and 6-sigma concepts and applications.
- Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic and self-motivated.
- Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred (MS/PhD) in a related field.
- Expertise with preclean processing and its interactions.
- Experience with automated fault detection and control systems (FDC).
- Experience in JMP or equivalent statistical software.

Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $114,320 - $171,480. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
