About the Role

Based in Global Development’s Principal Gifts department and reporting to the Associate Director of Development Operations (ADoDO), the Development Operations Manager will work with both the ADoDO and the Deputy Director to project manage and support the development operations aspects of several priority workstreams for both the Principal Gifts and Global Markets Departments. These include the Principal Gifts Pipeline, the Natural Partner Program, Donor Interest groups, and supporting Executive and Conservation Lead metrics tracking.

The Development Operations Manager collaborates with appropriate Global Development and field staff on donor and data coordination of the prospects on the Principal Gifts Pipeline. They will serve as a central data management resource for all parties engaged with the PG Pipeline, managing tracking and reporting on pipeline prospects, including dashboards, reports, and analysis of dollars and activity to drive decisions. The role utilizes the Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM) database, PowerBI, and other organizational tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and supporting development of strategy sessions on PG prospects and partnership plans with the PG leadership team and fundraising teams of specific Business Units.
  • Working closely with leaders of the Natural Partner Program (NPP) on tracking and reporting progress of the portfolio of donors in the NPP.
  • Supporting senior leadership managing Donor Interest Engagement resource development and deployment for fundraising learning.
  • Working with the ADoDO on consistent and aligned metrics reporting for a portfolio of executive leadership across the organization.
  • Creating standardized, efficient, and nimble approaches, processes, and reports to reflect movement and progress for PG-level prospects on the PG Pipeline, the portfolio of Natural Partners, and in executive portfolios.
  • Considering multiple perspectives when developing processes for colleagues in the field and PG and GM leadership.
  • Coordinating information and activity among colleagues on the Global Development Operations team, throughout Global Development, and with Business Units across the organization.

The position works closely with all Principal Gifts and Global Market fundraisers, the Global Development Operations team, the Prospect Development team, and state, division, and regional staff to accomplish goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience coordinating projects.
  • Experience generating reports, and analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Experience with current technology in fundraising operations, data management, and analysis.
  • Experience working across departments.
  • Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of fundraising operations, data management, and analysis.

Pay

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $68,900 - $100,400 for candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on factors such as the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market.

Schedule

We are open to remote, hybrid, and in-person work for this position, depending on location in the United States.
