Development Officer

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proven track record in donor relations or fundraising, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You should be comfortable making direct appeal visits, preparing compelling proposals, and leveraging data to inform your strategies. Preferred skills include experience with moves management, annual and major gift programs, and familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems. Having a background in nonprofit management, marketing, or related fields is advantageous, along with at least five years of experience in a similar relationship-driven role. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and previous success in managing donor portfolios will stand out. Willingness to travel locally for meetings, events, and site visits, along with the flexibility to work evenings or weekends when necessary, is essential.
