Development Officer

About the role

The Development Officer is responsible for managing fundraising initiatives, cultivating relationships with donors, and overseeing grant applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual goals
  • Cultivate and steward donor relationships through regular communication and events
  • Research and identify potential funding sources and opportunities
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals and reports
  • Manage donor databases and track campaign progress
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on fundraising efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in development or fundraising
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Knowledge of nonprofit regulations and compliance

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
