About the role
Catholic Charities of Fairfield County is seeking a Development Officer for its Stamford, CT location. This hybrid, full-time, benefits-eligible position reports to the Director of Philanthropy and works daily with the Directors of the Stamford Family Center and the New Covenant Center.
Responsibilities
- Work with CCSFC Director and Advisory Council to sell sponsorships and tickets to the annual Summer Soiree fundraiser.
- Work with CCSFC Director and the Advisory Council on the Annual Holiday Appeal and any other appeal or fundraising initiative throughout the year.
- Maintain relationships with current top-tier donors and cultivate/develop potential new individual and corporate prospects.
- Aid in creating and managing an annual development outreach strategy to the top 50-100 donors followed by overall Raiser’s Edge donor base.
- Through community outreach and cultivation, secure additional donor dollars from new markets.
- Oversee the solicitation of both existing private and government grants, as well as researching new opportunities to apply for grants.
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify development trends.
- Attend fundraising and development training webinars.
- Participate in cross-training within all operational areas of the organization.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Philanthropy group in Shelton, CT.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College degree required.
- Experience in non-profit development and fundraising track record preferred, or similar sales/development experience in the private sector.
- Networking experience with corporate, civic, religious, or other groups.
- Database management experience.
- Experience building partnerships with external constituencies.

- Strong verbal and written presentation experience and knowledge

- Maintain and grow positive relationships with donors and be accountable and collaborative with team members.

Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
