Responsibilities
- Hands-on R&D scale flexographic printing
- Work directly with the scientific staff to scope, draft and execute experiments
- Optical, physical and electrical evaluation of printed and plated samples
- Work with the Product Development Director to drive technology from R&D to manufacturing
Requirements
- Experience executing bench-scale experiments, such as ink handling, dispersions and/or emulsion formulation
- Understanding, hands-on capability in mixing, chemical handling, printing; coating; print/coating evaluation
- Experience with optical microscopy and visual inspection techniques
- Experience in DC electrical measurements, such as resistance testing
- Data entry and experimental record keeping
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience working on cross-functional teams
- Good laboratory practices
Qualifications
- A.S. Degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience in flexographic printing, ink formulation and chemistry laboratory best practices
- Recent graduate or up to 5 years experience
