Development Events Coordinator.
The mission
The mission of the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to 'Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line'. WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute projects and events related to the areas of development stewardship, communications, and events
- Coordinate event logistical support for up to 90 special events (in person, virtual, and/or hybrid) throughout the year
- Arrange, negotiate for, and book event transportation
- Help donors make room reservations
- Answer event questions sent to development events email
- Create nametags/place cards/menu cards/etc
- Attend site inspections, set up and break down of events
- Create event records in the database and update donor event information within the appropriate record
- Prepare all invoices and payment cover sheets for billing
- Request invite lists through data services or by running exports as needed in CRM
- Afford assistance to development communications, donor stewardship, and campaign logistics on projects as needed
- Answer all emails sent to the development events email
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and numerous external agencies
- Proficient in computer applications
- The ability to organize multiple, detail-oriented priorities
- Available for occasional travel and work after normal business hours
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Experience in nonprofit organization and/or higher education is a plus

Pay
This position will pay approximately $22.00-$24.00 an hour based on skills and experience.
