Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SARSEF’s corporate sponsors, providing responsive, proactive, and personable communication
- Build and steward authentic relationships with current sponsors to deepen engagement and support long-term renewal
- Manage sponsor fulfillment and logistics, including delivery of benefits such as logo placement, booth space, and public recognition, coordinating with marketing team
- Maintain a sponsorship renewal calendar and lead outreach
- Collaborate with the CDO to develop strategies for engaging employees at partner organizations as individual donors
- Support CDO and Executive Assistant in recruiting and stewarding Sponsored Award donors, including outreach to prospective sponsors, processing awards, and managing communications from sign-up through the SARSEF Fair
- Research and cultivate prospective corporate sponsors to grow SARSEF’s funding base
- Represent SARSEF at business, chamber, and community council events to build visibility and relationships
- Stay informed of SARSEF programming to be able to authentically communicate and engage donors and sponsors in SARSEF’s work
- Develop donor communications plans based on sponsor and donor segments
- Collect, analyze, and distribute data for corporate partner and foundation grant reports
- Assist with planning and on-site execution of SARSEF program and donor events
- Coordinate sponsor logistics at events, including booth setup, signage, recognition, and more
- Coordinate Sponsored Award logistics, including payment processing, judging participation, and sponsor recognition at the Awards Ceremony and STEM Expo
- Support post-event follow-up with sponsors and attendees
- Support CDO with individual donor outreach, stewardship, and acknowledgment campaigns
- We are looking for applicants with:
- Previous corporate sponsorships, event coordination, and/or donor relations experience
- Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shift priorities based on mission-driven needs
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends to support SARSEF events
- Commitment to SARSEF’s mission and values
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Suite (Word, Excel, Gmail, Drive)
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential donor and sponsor information with a commitment to excellent stewardship
- Proficiency with databases and donor management systems, Bloomerang and Airtable a plus!
- Ownership of and initiative in your work
- Openness to give and receive feedback in a collaborative environment
- Commitment to support a fundraising model that is anti-racist and based on principles of community-centric fundraising
Requirements
- Must pass a Pima County fingerprint clearance.
Benefits
- Compensation and Time
- The starting salary of this position is $48,000 – $53,000 DOE with potential for higher through tenure and performance.
- Position includes employer-paid health, dental and vision insurance, unlimited sick time, generous vacation time, and paid holidays starting at day one.
- Upon completion of the first 90 days, the position includes a 5% 401k match.
- SARSEF’s office runs on a hybrid model with flexibility to work from home and to set up a schedule that works for you and your work upon completion of the first 90 days.
