Developer Relations Lead

About the role

The Developer Relations Lead will own and grow Zyphra's developer community, focusing on open-source models and the AI agent, Maia. This role requires a strong technical foundation, experience in developer relations, and a proven track record of building and growing technical communities.

Responsibilities

• Owning the development, expansion, and moderation of Zyphra’s developer community across Discord, GitHub, and Hugging Face
• Representing Zyphra at AI conferences and developer summits, speaking, demoing, and building relationships
• Driving GitHub adoption metrics, including stars, forks, issues, pull requests, and active contributor velocity
• Acting as the primary feedback channel between Zyphra’s developer community and the research and product teams
• Creating and curating technical content to serve the community
• Collaborating with the GTM team on model launch strategy and developer-facing go-to-market motions

Requirements

• Experience in developer relations, open-source community management, or a related technical role at an AI, ML, or developer tools company
• Track record of building or growing a technical developer community measured in GitHub engagement, Discord or Slack membership, social following, or conference presence
• Strong technical foundation in AI and machine learning, understanding model architecture, inference, fine-tuning, and deployment
• Experience running contributor programs, ambassador programs, or structured community initiatives
• Experience collaborating with research teams to translate model releases and technical milestones into community moments
• Breadth across modalities, familiarity with language, audio, vision, and/or BCI AI systems
