Developer-Java/J2EE Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a senior Java Developer with a background in finance. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in core and advanced Java, the Spring framework, and relational databases. This role requires strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Professional experience with Java 8+ for backend development, including I/O, multithreading/concurrency, collections, generics, and lambda expressions.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful API web services.
- Knowledge of Spring Framework and Dependency Injection.
- Proficiency with build and test tools such as Maven/Gradle, JUnit/Mockito, and FitNesse.
- Experience with R&D using AI, including prototyping solutions and integrating AI capabilities.
- Understanding of database skills with RDBMS (e.g., MS SQL) and data modeling.
- Ability to write advanced SQL queries and work with XML and JSON data formats.
- Familiarity with Docker, application lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., JIRA, Jenkins), and Git.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7–10 years of professional software development experience.
Qualifications
- Experience with AI/ML development and automation.
- Knowledge of Tableau and Snowflake.
- Understanding of fixed income markets, particularly mortgage and debt securities.
Skills
- Proficiency in Python, particularly for AI/ML development and automation.
