Our organization is responsible for all the beautiful source content designed and seen across all platforms - Apps, Games, Music, Movies, TV Shows, and the next big thing - whether showcasing content built in-house or featured from external providers. This position places you at the intersection of software development and creative infrastructure, building the services and automation that keep our designers productive and our systems reliable. You will work alongside experienced engineers across systems, networking, security, and desktop teams who manage infrastructure for other departments.
About the Role
You will be encouraged to learn from, mirror, and build upon their experience while bringing your own expertise to innovate and build solutions tailored to our creative environment.
Key Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or backend development - ideally with exposure to media, design, or creative production environments.
- Experience with high-performance network-attached storage (Qumulo or similar platforms such as Isilon, NetApp) and data backup strategies.
- Experience in utilizing AI to develop automation and tooling, integrating models and agentic workflows into internal services, and applying AI-assisted development to engineering tasks.
- Strong proficiency in Python for building APIs, automation, and tooling.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (S3, EC2 or similar).
- Proficiency with shell scripting and Linux server administration in production environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP) and troubleshooting system performance.
- Experience with Git version control, CI/CD workflows, and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, JAMF, etc.), as well as terraform.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug across application, system, and network layers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of creative production workflows, pipelines (VFX, motion graphics), and tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Frame.io).
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere environments and database systems (SQL/Postgres).
- Experience with system monitoring and observability platforms.
- Strong design sensibility with an appreciation for layout and visual consistency when building internal tools and interfaces.
- Awareness of accessibility best practices when building internal tools and interfaces.

- Maintain and monitor Qumulo storage systems and integrate them with internal tools and APIs.
- Ensure redundancy and backups of data, core systems, and services.
- Write and maintain documentation for APIs, tools, and operational procedures.
- Maintain software license servers and assist with end-user software installs and configuration.
