A remote contract role supporting healthcare interoperability solutions for a client in Cary, NC.
About the role
Build .NET applications and FHIR-based integrations that enable secure clinical and administrative data exchange within healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain .NET-based healthcare applications and FHIR/HL7 integrations to support clinical, claims, and member data exchange across healthcare systems.
- Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration with EHR platforms and external healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to deliver solutions supporting CMS Grievances, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) programs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, privacy, and healthcare regulatory requirements throughout the application lifecycle.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization while supporting CI/CD and deployment processes.
- Participate in system design, technical documentation, and healthcare data transformation initiatives using FHIR, HL7, JSON, and XML standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in healthcare application development, healthcare operations, or healthcare technology solutions.
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API, FHIR/HL7 standards, RESTful APIs, and healthcare data integrations.
- Solid understanding of Healthcare CMS Grievances, Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA) processes, HIPAA compliance, healthcare workflows, and EHR integration environments.
Pay
$41.00 to $54.00 per hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
