Dev Ops Engineer - Secret
About the role
Parsons is seeking DevOps Engineers to support diverse and challenging systems that are evolving with the technology landscape. You will be responsible for the automation and continuous integration of software build products for fielded computer systems. The DevOps Pipeline Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. This position involves working closely with development and operations teams to build and maintain robust infrastructure, automate processes, and enhance system reliability. You will work closely with our partners as well as data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data-driven strategies are effective and aligned with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a DevOps framework to support build server automation and automation of RMF scans (ACAS/NESSUS) into the software development lifecycle
- Develop both customer and team documentation of the DevOps process
- Perform maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Provide technical support and training to project team and customer
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant network engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Security, Information Technology or related discipline
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required due to government or federal requirement. U.S. citizens ONLY due to government or federal requirement
- Expert with Linux scripting (Bash, Python, Gawk, Perl, Groovy, etc.)
- Experience with source code repository tools (GIT, SVN)
- Experience with containerized deployment architecture (Kubernetes)
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Expert with build automation technologies (Gradle, GIT, SVN etc.)
- Experience with automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Helm etc.)
- Experience with Artifact binary repository management (Nexus, Maven, Artifactory, etc.)
- Experience with distributed platforms (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
- Experience with OS package management systems (Yum, Apt, etc.)
Desired qualifications
- Software programming experience with Java, C++, Python
- Experience with VMWare vSphere, vSAN, and ESXi virtualization technologies
- Experience with KVM/QEMU Technology
- Experience with providing solutions on a closed network
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Stash, Crowd, Confluence, etc.)
- Understanding of networked system services to include DNS, DHCP, NTP, HTTP, Log Servers, and User Authentication services
Security clearance
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Pay & benefits
Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00.
