About the role
Kay County Detention Center is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Detention Officers.
Responsibilities
- Custody and control of inmates
- Security of the jail
- Physical movement of inmates
- All inmate needs
- Basic data entry
- In application of jail techniques
- In maintaining security of inmates
- In application of principles of supervision
Requirements
- MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD
- Knowledge of radio system/10 codes
- Knowledge of CPR
- Knowledge of inter-department correspondence
- Knowledge of policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to jail operations
- Vigilantly
- To exercise initiative and independent judgement
- To understand and follow oral and written instructions
- To deal tactfully with others
Qualifications
- Strong core skills in security and conflict management
- Premium skills in CCTV monitoring, first Aid CPR, Law Enforcement and military Background
