Detection & Investigation Analyst Lead: EFR/CONTRLS AND EXECUTION
About the role
Reviews and investigates customer cases, reports and work for potential and actual loss. Minimizes fraud, Anti-Money Laundering and/or organizational risk. Performs early detection of suspicious activity. Controls and prevents losses. May lead the work of and/or train detection and investigation staff.
Responsibilities
- Researches and analyzes bank activities and reports to detect and prevent possible fraudulent and suspicious activities.
- Recommends disposition. Identifies gaps and control enhancements.
- Uses defined research procedures to identify and resolve issues.
- Identifies trends and escalates as appropriate.
- Follows standards and practices to mitigate fraud, Anti-Money Laundering and other risk exposure and loss.
- Shares best practices among the team and/or service partners.
- Prepares and maintains appropriate documentation of analysis performed and coordinates with internal or external stakeholders as appropriate.
Requirements
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills – will need to manage and prioritize case load.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Basic Excel skills recommended.
- Mainframe, Service Browser, and Edge knowledge strongly encouraged.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
- Preferred Skills: Analytical Thinking, Customer Solutions, Decision Making, Operational Risks, Problem Resolution, Researching, Risk Mitigation Strategies.
- Competencies: Anti-money Laundering/Sanctions Policies and Procedures, Business Ethics, Business Process Improvement, Decision Making and Critical Thinking, Effective Communications, Fraud Detection and Prevention, Information Capture, Operational Risk, Problem Solving, Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work Experience: Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with < 1 year of professional experience and/or successful completion of a formal development program. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Pay
Base Salary: $41,250.00 – $75,625.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm - Local Time
In office.
