Detailer Supervisor

About the role

The Detailer Supervisor manages the Custom Exhibit Design and Detailing team, overseeing the quality and accuracy of detail drawings. This role includes resolving complex design and engineering drawings, maintaining project schedules, and supporting team development.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve detail drawings, ensuring they are production-ready and aligned with project requirements.
• Resolve technical issues and collaborate with Designers, Account Managers, and Production to support successful project execution.
• Provide mentorship and training to team members, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement.
• Train new hires and serve as the point person for modular construction.
• Attend team leadership meetings to discuss best practices and process improvements.
• Own the drawing set to ensure drawings are completed in accordance with the project timeline.
• Manage a smaller team including other Detailers and Designers.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in engineering, CAD, exhibition, or events.
• Vast knowledge of materials, finishes, graphic applications, and fabrication methods.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D Studio Max.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.

• Convincing presentation skills and ability to articulate technical details.
• An advanced sense of project flow, timelines, and problem-solving.

Skills

• Technical Approach: Produce detail / assembly drawings, create 3D/2D drawings, and manage CAD drafting standards.
• Execution Ability: Self-manage detailing requirements, perform QA processes, and support peak workloads.
• Team Management: Train new hires, attend team leadership meetings, and partner with Account Executives/Project Managers.
