About Your Role
The detailer is responsible for cleaning cars at the dealership, maintaining safe, clean equipment, and displaying a positive, professional attitude to customers and coworkers. This position performs a complete detail cleaning of the interior and exterior of all automobiles’ makes and models, providing fast, accurate, high-quality, and efficient service. Based at our Hyundai location, a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility featuring modern equipment, advanced technology, and a clean, professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles both for customer delivery and presentation on the lot.
- Clean, wax, polish, refurbish, and detail collision-damaged vehicles, as well as old and new vehicles.
- Inspect finished products to ensure the highest quality service.
- Understand and deliver on specific customer requirements.
- Maintain proper function of all service tools and equipment.
- Directly report any damage to the supervising manager in a clear and timely fashion.
- Coordinate and arrange work effectively with team members.
- Maintain excellent standards and quality of service to represent the dealership positively.
- Take pride in finished product, strive for excellence, and focus on attention to detail.
- Clean and maintain the detail bay daily.
- Follow and adhere to all company safety policies, rules, and training.
- Complete specifically assigned opening or closing duties based on scheduled shift.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Follow scheduled hours as defined by your manager.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1-3 years of experience in service and/or detail shop is preferred.
- 1 year of automotive or detail experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
- Desire to continue learning and ability to adapt to changes in technology and equipment.
