Detailer/Drafter - NM

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate fabrication bills of material and erection plans for New Millennium products.
• Prepare joist and deck layout plans and sections using AutoCAD.
• Prepare RFIs and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Calculate joist and girder loading based on design loading provided on contract documents.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Meet schedules for assigned projects.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent with AutoCAD.
• Ability to visualize how elements fit together in 3D when working with 2D drawings.
• Willingness to go beyond typical duties to assist co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

CAD-related degrees and/or experience preferred.

• Prior structural and/or joist detailing experience.
