Detailer/Drafter

About the role

New Millennium Produce accurate fabrication bills of material and erection plans for use in fabricating and erecting New Millennium products on large, heavy structural, deck only projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deck layout plans and sections using AutoCAD
• Prepare RFI’s and coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others
• Detail projects with multiple submittals and sequences with extended project building time-frames
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, production driven environment
• Meet schedules for assigned projects
• Other duties as necessary

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent with AutoCAD
• Ability to visualize how elements fit together in 3D when working with 2D drawings
• Willingness to go beyond typical duties to assist co-workers and customers

Preferred

• CAD related degrees and/or experience
• Prior structural, joist, and/or deck detailing experience
