Desktop Support Technician

Our client is a multibillion-dollar company that provides end-to-end managed services, technology, and consulting to enable the digital workplace for small to enterprise businesses. This is a 2-month contract position in Tulsa, OK 74128. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related desktop and/or deskside support experience
  • Technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills including core business systems, applications, hardware and software, printers, and networks
  • Experience working with incident management tools and software packages
  • Knowledge and experience working with Windows 10 / 11
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to understand the technical implications of business decisions and requests
  • Excellent customer service skills with well-developed interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, and discretion
  • Demonstrated active listening skills that can collect accurate and detailed information
  • Capability to learn and support new applications
  • Ability to defuse tense situations and focus on the issue at hand
  • Polished, professional, and clear verbal communication over the phone
  • Clear, concise written communication with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Engaging communication style with a friendly and helpful tone both verbally and in email
  • Excellent end-user support experience
  • Ability to translate technical language into user-friendly information
  • Team player with strong work ethic, standards, initiative, attention to detail, and quality orientation
  • Able to work adeptly in a fast-paced, changing environment while serving the needs of multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware break-fix services following documented processes and procedures to include hot swap, imaging, and replacement of FRUs (Field Replaceable Units) as applicable
  • Provide deskside hardware and software support
  • Update the asset management system of record where applicable
  • Perform physical IMACD (Installs, Moves, Add, Changes, and Deletions)
  • Perform hardware refresh of aging hardware with the new device based on the end user profile
  • Support Lenovo and Dell laptops and desktops, standard client (AC) image with Microsoft Office, SAP, legacy applications all on a virtualized environment using Citrix
  • Support Client Hand-held Scanners, Android Tablets, Symbol HHT / printers, Lexmark, and Ricoh printers
