Desktop Support Technician
About the role
This position supports the IT Equipment Center in the handling of desktop equipment across CONUS for the ES Sector. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnosing issues during the imaging process, installing, upgrading, and removing hardware, maintaining customer communications, and ensuring accurate data entry in the asset management database. Collaboration with the PC Refresh Coordinator is essential.
Responsibilities
- Supports the IT Equipment Center in handling desktop equipment across CONUS for the ES Sector
- Works with Tier-III support in troubleshooting and diagnosing imaging process issues
- Installs, upgrades, and removes products while coordinating engineering field changes
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations
- Affirms accuracy of data input into the asset management database
- Collaborates with the PC Refresh Coordinator on all related efforts
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 2+ years work experience or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of PC Hardware
- Extensive knowledge of Windows OS (Win10, Win11)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and OneDrive environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Linux OS
Preferred
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with 4 years experience
- CompTIA A+ certified
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $57,319 - $91,710
