Questions? We're here to help!If you have questions about this recruitment or need assistance, contact: TroyLynn Craft, Senior Recruiter troylynn.craft@portlandoregon.gov Bureau of Human Resources" We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. Also remove "For more information, click here." etc. Also remove "Benefit: Please check our benefit tab for an overview of benefit for this position". Also remove "Language Pay Premium Eligible: This position is or may be eligible for Language Pay Differential for qualifying employees". Also remove "The Recruitment Process Submit your resume and cover letter by the closing date..." etc. Also remove "What To Expect Application Review..." etc. Also remove "Additional Information Learn More About: ..." etc. Also remove contact info? Probably contact info is not boilerplate? It's contact for questions; maybe considered application instructions? The instruction says remove application instructions. Contact info might be considered part of application instructions. Safer to remove contact lines. We need to preserve substantive info: Position summary, What you'll do (responsibilities), Qualifications (knowledge, abilities), Work schedule, work location, remote work restriction, benefit mention? The benefit: "Please check our benefit tab for an overview of benefit for this position" is not specific; we should not create Benefits section unless posting actually states them. It says "Benefit: Please check our benefit tab for an overview of benefit for this position" - not specific benefit details, so we should not create Benefits section. Language Pay Differential mention: "Language Pay Premium Eligible: This position is or may be eligible for Language Pay Differential for qualifying employees" - that's specific about pay differential eligibility. Could be considered Pay? It mentions eligibility for language pay differential. That's a pay-related detail. We could include a Pay section with that info. However the rule: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. It does state Language Pay Differential eligibility, so we can include Pay section with that sentence. Schedule: "Regular Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 - 5 pm. Alternate schedules may be available after probation". That's schedule info, so we can include Schedule section. Work location: Hybrid, remote within Oregon/Washington. Could be part of About the role or maybe separate? Not a defined heading; we could include in About the role. Position Summary: we can put under About the role. Responsibilities: "What You’ll Do" list. Qualifications: list of knowledge and abilities. Skills: maybe not separate; we could combine with Qualifications? But we have headings for Skills; we could include if there are specific skills listed. The qualifications include knowledge and abilities; we could treat them as Requirements. Could also have Skills section but not needed. We need to avoid empty sections. So we will include:

About the role

with paragraph(s) containing position summary, work location, hybrid, remote restriction.

Responsibilities

with
  • items from "What You’ll Do".

    Requirements

    (or Qualifications) with
    • items from qualifications list. We could also have

      Pay

with paragraph about Language Pay Differential eligibility.

      Schedule

with paragraph about work schedule and alternate schedules. We should not include Benefits section because no specific benefits. We must not repeat job title as heading. We must not include Job ID etc. We must output only HTML fragment. Let's extract details. Position Summary: "The Bureau of Technology Services (BTS) is hiring an Information System Supervisor to lead the Desktop Support Team in the BTS Support Center. Schedule: "Regular Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 - 5 pm. Alternate schedules may be available after probation." Pay: "Language Pay Premium Eligible: This position is or may be eligible for Language Pay Differential for qualifying employees." Now responsibilities list: Let's parse the "What You’ll Do" sentences. Text: "What You’ll Do Plan, prioritize, and review daily work and project activities. Identify resource needs and allocate staff appropriately.Establish team and individual objectives in collaboration with staff periodically reviewing progress and adjusting priorities as necessary.Provide and coordinate staff training, employee development plans, performance management, coaching, and annual performance reviews.Create monthly team performance/statistics reports and use findings to drive coaching, performance management, and continuous improvementParticipate in development of policies, procedures, goals and objectives for reporting staff.Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with team members to review workload, identify work blockers or challenges, and provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing support. Support budget planning by preparing recommendations and monitoring spending.Review customer feedback and ensure follow-up actions are taken to address recurring issues and improve customer experienceLead small projects, run team meetings, develop meaningful agendas and follow up with action items" We need to split into separate items. Let's list: - Plan, prioritize, and review daily work and project activities. - Identify resource needs and allocate staff appropriately. - Establish team and individual objectives in collaboration with staff, periodically reviewing progress and adjusting priorities as necessary. - Provide and coordinate staff training, employee development plans, performance management, coaching, and annual performance reviews. - Create monthly team performance/statistics reports and use findings to drive coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement. - Participate in development of policies, procedures, goals and objectives for reporting staff. - Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with team members to review workload, identify work blockers or challenges, and provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing support. - Support budget planning by preparing recommendations and monitoring spending. - Review customer feedback and ensure follow-up actions are taken to address recurring issues and improve customer experience. - Lead small projects, run team meetings, develop meaningful agendas and follow up with action items. Now qualifications list: "Knowledge of principles and practices for planning, organizing, prioritizing, and assigning work to staff, including establishing clear performance expectations. Ability to supervise a multicultural workforce, promote an equitable workplace environment, and apply equitable program practices to diverse and complex City services. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and present information, proposals, and recommendations clearly and persuasively. Applicants Must Also Possess Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation." We can treat each as a requirement. Now we need to output HTML. We'll have:
