Desktop Support Specialist (Onsite in Holland, OH)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Consults with users to determine hardware, software and system specifications
- Responsible for completing IT support tickets in a timely manner
- Helps with the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment
- Aids in maintaining network and system documentation
- Aids in network and system upgrades
- Maintains and updates company IT equipment
- Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential
- Performs other tasks as assigned
Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of computer network design and implementation
- 2-3 years experience in a support role in IT
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Minimum 6 months working with Windows software
Preferred Education
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field of study
- Industry certifications such as Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA Network +
About the Role
The Desktop Support Specialist will work a second shift schedule and be onsite @ our Holland, Ohio location. This role assists with the installation, configuration, and testing of IT equipment for Velocity employees. This position assists with network and system upgrades and interacts with Velocity employee’s day to day to ensure all IT support tickets are handled in a timely manner.
