About the role

We are backfilling a Desktop Engineer/Support Tech position located at the new Lexington Medical Prison in Lexington, KY. We’re seeking a knowledgeable & committed technician with a high aptitude for customer service. Candidates must have minimum 1-2 years experience in Desktop Support or similar role. Experience must include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment. Along with desktop duties, selected candidate may be required to assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches. This position provides support to DOC staff within the Correctional Complex (approx. 275 devices) and will also interact or be among prison inmates as they are used for work detail, etc.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in Desktop Support or similar role
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices in a Windows-based environment
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Able to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time
• Pass a DOC background check and extensive drug test prior to starting
